Preparing the Machine Before Use
- Start by turning on the machine. The on/off switch is located on the right side of the machine, just above the pretreat and distilled water tanks.
- Shake the pretreat tank for 1 minute to agitate the liquid and mix any sediment that may have settled at the bottom.
- Take the yellow nozzle caps from the distilled water tank and twist them onto the nozzles in the pretreat tank. Twist the nozzles counterclockwise until the wings on the nozzle cap are facing towards you. Repeat this step for all 4 nozzle caps.
- Locate the “Valve of Precoating Pump” switch on the right side of the pretreat machine. Switch the nozzle to the “precoating” side.
- Turn on all the nozzles.
- Press and hold the “precoating” button on the touch screen until the tubes are filled with white liquid.
- You are now ready to pretreat your textile/garment.
Operating the Machine: Pretreating Your Garment/Fabric
- Start by opening the front drawer.
- Position the garment or fabric on the bed of the pretreat machine, ensuring that the part you want to pretreat is flat. Once positioned, close the front drawer.
- Focus on the touch screen on the front of the machine to adjust the settings.
- Adjust the pre-coat application amount:
- On the touch screen, you will see presets labeled "F1" to "F5," each dispensing a different amount of pretreat onto your garment or fabric.
- F1: 30g (standard)
- F2: 35g
- F3: 40g
- The amount of pretreat to use depends on the fabric's make, heaviness, and desired results.
- General rule of thumb:
- Using too much pretreat can result in heavy staining and ink wash-off.
- Using too little pretreat can result in dull colors and poor quality.
- Set the pre-coat application range:
- Determine the area of your garment or fabric that you want to pretreat. This will determine the settings for the next steps.
- Turn on or off the nozzles you want to use by touching the different columns on the shirt diagram. A highlighted column indicates the nozzle is on, while no highlight means the nozzle is off. The machine has 4 nozzles, and you can adjust them as needed based on your pretreat area.
- Set the pre-coat length by pressing the "settings" button on the home screen and adjusting the "begin" and "length" settings. Once done, press the arrow at the bottom right of the screen.
DO NOT CHANGE THE CARRIAGE SPEED. PRESS THE CHECKMARK TO EXIT THE "SETTINGS" SCREEN
- When ready, press the Start button to apply the pre-treat to your garment or fabric.
- Open the front drawer and remove the garment or fabric.
- Wipe off any excess pretreat with a paper cloth and close the drawer.
