Skill Demonstration
Make a leaf and add it to the Zund Skill Tree! The leaf should be ~6” long and include your name cut out in the center. [insert leaf example image here]
Set up machine for cut
power on, if necessary
demonstrate moving gantry fast and slow; automatically moving belt; activating the vacuum; and adjusting vacuum power
demonstrate mounting a module; installing the Z10 blade in the UCT; installing the glide shoe; inserting the UCT in the module; and automatically initializing the tool
properly place material on bed such that it lays flat and is accessible by the cutter, manually activating vacuum to test adhesion if necessary
Prepare file in Cut Editor
locate and open Cut Editor
import file
adjust file import settings, such as scale
move, rescale, and rotate an object
group and ungroup objects
delete unnecessary objects
assign paths to appropriate operations (thru-cut, crease, etc)
add border detection
convert dots into registration marks
change the order of operations
turn on or turn off operations
fax files over to the Cut Queue
Run job using the Cut Center
locate and open Cut Queue
find recently faxed file from Cut Editor, and open
identify and select material
use calipers to measure stock and input data
verify proper tools are installed; if not, install them!
open tool options to change depth per pass, speed, etc
send files back to Cut Editor for quick changes, then back again
turn machine online (it’s okay, we all get reminded, just know what to do when prompted)
start job
manage border detection, both in auto- and manual-mode
clean up and shut down machine
