Sticker Design: Where to Start

Designing your own stickers is a fun way to get creative—and it’s a great intro to digital design. Whether you want to hand-draw something, remix an idea, or build a clean vector from scratch, this page gives you the tools to get going.

You’ll find tutorials, design tool options, and prep tips for cutting or printing your final designs on the Cricut, laser cutter, or sticker printer.

Choosing Your Design Tool

There are many places to design a sticker. Each one has different strengths and weaknesses, with some easier to learn, and others needing a bit more guidance.

Illustrator

Best for clean, custom designs — especially for Cricut or laser cutting.

  • Ideal for vector shapes and layered designs
  • Steeper learning curve, but super helpful (especially for laser cutting)
