In order to earn “Guided Access” status (and a sticker on your badge) for the Zund CNC Cutter, you must show that you can perform and understand the following:
Part 1: Intro to Machine
The student should be introduced to the machine by a certified staff member, making sure to cover everything mentioned in the 3 pager.

Part 3: Skill Demonstration
If you can successfully perform the following on your own, you will have earned guided access status.
Turn on the machine
Initialize tools correctly
Prepare a file for cutting in Zund CutEditor
Import your file
Position your paths in the workspace
Input your material settings
Set your methods and order them correctly
Add Border Detection
Export to CutQueue
Select your file from Zund CutQueue
Check your work in Zund CutCenter
Make sure the correct tool and blade are equipped
Make sure the material dimensions are correct
Make sure your estimated time is reasonable
Bring the machine online
Run the job
Run border detection
Take the machine offline and move the gantry out of the way
Staff, look for:
Safe practices before and during job execution (keeping the machine offline until ready, one person inside the safety lines at a time, keeping hands away from the machine while active, proper PPE)
Proper file preparation in Illustrator
Using the correct names when initializing tools
Correct method ordering
